The Hair Tie That is Helping End Malnutrition

Alright ladies and gentleman (we all know how popular man buns are!), who else scrambles out of bed in the morning and doesn’t know what to do with their hair? I can’t be the only one! Before I cut all my hair off, after about 2 hours of being awake and my hair being down, I would inevitably put it up in a messy bun or ponytail. However, the struggle for me has always been to find the right kind of hair tie. I usually end up with either ones that are waaaaay too tight or too big and I have to wrap it around my incredibly fine hair approximately 1000x. And it’s not just me! Women are faced with quite a few different options for hair ties that often leave us overwhelmed with which one to choose and disappointed with most.  So when Lydia and I discovered Banded, we knew we had to share their amazing product!

Banded was founded in 2013 after searching for a no-slip headband and a desire to make an impact. Their mission is to empower women to feel positive, purposeful, powerful, and proud. They launched with hair accessories and a tangible giveback program (every product provides three meals to a child!) and have since expanded to baby and nursing accessories! Banded offers several different options and designs for their hair ties. You can decide between a classic or narrow width and many different looks! They even have embellished ties for those nights you want your hair up but still want to feel sparkly. Most importantly, it is perfect for fine to thick hair and since it is made with fabric with no metal pieces, there is no damage to your hair! Like most, we tend to carry a hair tie around our wrist at all times and love that the designs make our look feel more put together.

What we truly love about Banded is the impact that they are making! To date, they have been able to provide over ten million meals through Feed the Poor, an organization that serves the poorest of the poor in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America, which encompasses countries that have some of the highest rates of child malnutrition in the world. It is absolutely incredible that we can buy hair ties, something that we need daily, and make such a huge impact on others' lives. We are so grateful for Banded and their mission and hope that you will fall in love with them as much as we have!
